Our traditional South Indian Kaapi Brass Filter comprises of 4 parts: lower collection chamber, upper brewing chamber, coffee press and lid.

South Indian Filter Kaapi is a coffee drink made by mixing frothed and boiled milk with a coffee decoction obtained by percolation brewing of finely ground coffee powder in a traditional Filter Kaapi filter.
Kaapi/ ‘KÄPĒ is a phonetic rendering of the word Coffee
Note: Brass is a soft metal. Some minor imperfections may exist but doesn’t impact brewing at all. Brewing and Care instructions for your Brass Filter will be included with your purchase.

Please Note: traditional Brass Filters are always tin lined to be food safe and so alloys don’t leach into your coffee over time. For this reason, the plunger/press inside the filter is pure and good safe stainless steel
